The Peace Keneeza Foundation
The Peace Keneeza Foundation (PKF) is a Ugandan non-profit organization committed to empowering girls and young women from marginalized communities through health, education, and economic empowerment programs that break the cycles of poverty and inequality. We work in remote rural regions, displacement settings, and underserved communities, ensuring no girl is left behind because of where she was born.
Current Programmes
Health & Wellbeing
PKF’s Health & Wellbeing program helps girls in marginalized communities access nutrition, maternal and child health, mental health care, overcoming poverty, distance, and cultural barriers to promote a healthier future with dignity and confidence.
Education & Skills Development
PKF’s Education & Skills Development program empowers girls facing poverty, unsafe learning environments, and cultural barriers by promoting school enrollment and retention, improving learning outcomes, and providing digital literacy, life skills, leadership training, and career preparation to help them achieve opportunities.
Economic Empowerment
PKF’s Economic Empowerment program equips adolescent girls and young women with entrepreneurship, agribusiness, and vocational skills, financial literacy, and access to micro-enterprises, while strengthening household resilience and fostering leadership.
Why Girls, Why Marginalized Communities
Girls from rural and marginalized areas face disproportionate barriers:
- Poverty, child marriage, school dropouts, and gender-based violence.
- Limited access to quality education, healthcare, and safe spaces.
- Climate shocks, displacement, and systemic gender inequality.
Research and practice consistently show that investing in girls is the most effective way to spark lasting change. Educated, healthy, and empowered girls create ripple effects that transform families, strengthen communities, and build resilient nations.
Vision
Empowered girls and women fully utilizing their potential in safe, resilient, and equitable communities.
Mission
To create pathways for girls and young women from marginalized communities in Uganda to achieve their fullest potential within safe, resilient, and equitable communities, bringing glory to God and hope to the nations.
